However, vegetable juices can be high in sodium and may not have the phytochemicals (newly discovered disease-fighting substances in plant foods) naturally found in whole vegetables. The bottom line: Vegetable juice is a great beverage selection, but be sure to include at least two more servings of whole vegetables a day to go with it.
